26 new homes under offer in pre-launch at Wapping Wharf
The first 26 homes in the second phase of the Wapping Wharf residential development have gone under offer.
With the main public launch planned for September, a limited number of the new homes were made available in the spring to purchasers who already live at Wapping Wharf or had registered their interest to buy.
Housed in two buildings called Abel Yard and Hope Quay, with five and six floors respectively, the development includes one-, two- and three-bed apartments.
The properties have been designed by architects, Alec French, to be in keeping with the industrial dock side feel of the area. Many of the properties have balconies overlooking the new street scenes or internal garden courtyards.

The second phase of homes at Wapping Wharf will include a new walkway towards the M Shed
Pauline Sangster, senior residential sales & marketing manager at Wapping Wharf Living, a Better Business member, said that the initial response from buyers “has really exceeded our expectations”.
She said: “There is no doubt that the harbourside location, with access to buzzy cafes, restaurants and independent shops, has something for everyone.”
The restored early 19th century, Grade II listed Gaol Gate is set to become an impressive new public entrance to Wapping Wharf.
The public launch of Abel Yard and Hope Quay will be in September 2019, with construction work progressing well.

Wapping Wharf Living is a joint venture between developers Umberslade and Muse who have secured £23.4m funding from Homes England towards phase two.
The support comes from Homes England‘s Home Building Fund, which provides loans to help unlock or accelerate the delivery of residential and mixed-use housing developments.
In addition to the apartments being sold on the open market, 93 will be sold to Sovereign Housing Association, 49 of which will be shared ownership housing and the remainder for private rent. After completion of these first 256 new homes, a further 81 affordable homes will be constructed separately as part of phase two.
A limited number of homes will be released to those who have pre-registered in mid-August ahead of the main public launch in September. There is still time to register your interest at wappingwharfliving.co.uk
