75 per cent of homes snapped up in second phase of Wapping Wharf
The first residents are moving into the second phase of Wapping Wharf.
Marking a key milestone in construction, 75 per cent of the 163 private sale homes have been reserved and the first residents are already moving into the development.
The first phase of Wapping Wharf is already well established on the harbourside and was highlighted in the Sunday Times’ Best Places to Live supplement 2020, which named Bristol Harbourside one of the best places to live in the UK.
Among the first to move into their new homes in Wapping Wharf are Jo Ley, 24, and Cary Leighton, 29.
“I used to walk past Wapping Wharf back in 2015 when I was a student,” said Jo.
“The development started taking shape and I always knew it was somewhere I would like to live one day. The area has a unique community feel which makes it so special. It really feels European, with its pavement cafes and open spaces.”

Cary added: “This is the most desirable part of Bristol to live in. We wanted to be close to the water and the independent shops in CARGO but also have city centre shops, bars and restaurants on our doorstep. It really is the perfect spot.”
Marking a return to his hometown of Bristol after eight years living in London, Marc Maryon, 32, is among the first to move in.
He says: “When I came to walk around Wapping Wharf, I got such a positive feeling, and I knew that if I was to move back to Bristol, this is where I wanted to be. I had a checklist of everything I would ideally want and as soon as I saw the apartment ticked all the boxes, put an offer in the very next day.”
He added: “An important thing for me is the convenience of having everything I want right on my doorstep. Every morning I can get a coffee from one of the cafes downstairs, I’ve already found my new barber a minute away and I can always get really nice food either from the restaurants or with the produce from the local shops.”

The second phase of the Wapping Wharf development is housed in two buildings and includes one, two and three-bed apartments.
Prices for a one-bedroom apartment start from £257,500; a two-bedroom apartment from £362,500; and a three-bedroom apartment from £525,000.
