Badminton School
Badminton is a thriving day and boarding school which has remained at the forefront of girls’ education in the UK for well over 160 years. It is a characteristic of Badminton girls that they are thoughtful individuals, able to evaluate information and decide for themselves.
This approach extends beyond their studies and into the day-to-day life of the School, where girls are given a wide range of opportunities to grow, develop and express themselves in an enormous range of activities.
The School itself has an enviable sense of community which is felt the moment you step through the gates into the private, secure campus where our girls have the space and time to grow, develop and discover who they are and who they want to be, at their own pace. The mixture of old and new buildings gives the School a strong sense of its history whilst remaining modern and functional.
Badminton girls regularly perform Science Outreach demonstrations in events such as WOMAD, Big Bang Festival, FESTOMANE and many more. Our Sports partnership provision enable students to access a broad variety of activities at club level and beyond. Our key partnerships include Bristol Fencing Club, Bristol Flyers Ladies Basketball Club, Hartpury University Centre and many more. Badminton School also has a special relationship with St Monica’s Trust to which we offer members a mix of Creative, Cultural and Educational activities and events.
Bristol is a unique city that is as cultural and creative as it is historic and we believe Badminton School shares this uniqueness as well. At Badminton, we believe in creating and nurturing strong partnerships with local, national and international organisations, not only to expand our offering and the opportunities available to our girls, but also to extend our outreach and Badminton’s place in the local Bristol community and beyond. Our community outreach programme is growing year on year and we want to continue to reach out by supporting this initiative.
