Baltimore Consulting Joins Bristol Women in Business Charter
Charmaine Vincent, the dynamic female entrepreneur behind Baltimore Consulting, has taken a bold step towards creating a gender-equal Bristol by becoming the 41st signatory of the Bristol Women in Business Charter. The charter, a long-term initiative, is dedicated to recognizing and supporting businesses in and around Bristol that are actively promoting gender equality.
The Bristol Women in Business Charter is a driving force in accelerating change for the benefit of women, the businesses they operate in, and the communities they serve. Its core belief, shared by Charmaine and Baltimore Consulting, is that businesses can only reach their full potential when they recruit and retain a gender-balanced workforce.
Charmaine Vincent’s Baltimore Consulting stands out with a remarkable 55:45 ratio of women to men, a rarity in the recruitment industry and a source of immense pride for Vincent. As an award-winning businesswoman and entrepreneur, she has overcome gender inequality, rising to the top without the support of a university degree, having left school at 16. She has consistently empowered others with the message that determination and hard work can open doors to success.
Baltimore Consulting’s journey began with Charmaine’s fervent desire to create a success story that would inspire other women and female entrepreneurs. She aimed to convey the message that they are indeed enough, encouraging them to dream big and believe in themselves.
Since its inception in 2019, the Bristol Women in Business Charter has attracted over 40 companies employing more than 25,000 people. The charter creates a supportive community of signatories who learn from each other’s experiences.
To maintain their signatory status, Baltimore Consulting must submit an annual progress report to highlight their achievements.
Charmaine Vincent, CEO of Baltimore Consulting, expressed her commitment to gender equality, saying, “Everyone deserves someone fighting in their corner, regardless of their gender identity. This is why becoming a part of the Bristol Women in Business Charter community is such an exciting opportunity for myself and the business, and I’m eager to work with businesses in Bristol that are committed to creating gender equality in the city.”
Kristal McNamara, Bristol Women in Business Charter Director, welcomed Baltimore Consulting as the 41st signatory, emphasizing Charmaine’s inspirational role and the alignment of their work with the charter’s values. McNamara said, “We look forward to working with them and all our other signatories in our journey to make Bristol the first gender-equal city.”
