BOCABAR
We’re a Bristol-based independent company established in 2005 with Bocabar
Paintworks (BS4) and most recently Bocabar Finzels Reach (BS1) in 2019.
All Bocabars are much loved and owned by Mel and Paul Eavis and run together with a small management team on each site. Each Bocabar is unique, shaped by the needs of customers from each of the different neighbourhoods.
Our managers and head chefs are encouraged to do all they can to source ethically, to reduce our environmental footprint, to develop seasonal bar and kitchen menus and to encourage a healthy work environment for our 80+ staff currently in the team.
We aim to bring out the best and the hidden talents of our staff, and to provide a stepping stone for their future development and career prospects. We are very proud to be a part of BS247’S initiative to get business to give back more to the community.
BOCABAR PAINTWORKS
Now in its 16 th year, Bocabar Paintworks is a local community and family favourite in the heart of Brislington and Totterdown. As soon as you walk in, you’re hit by the buzz of people enjoying themselves in an enormous open space with local art exhibitions on the walls and eclectic artefacts to buy.
Chesterfield sofas fill out the retro lounge and there’s also a relaxed dining area for those who prefer table service. Breakfasts, deli, lunch specials and over 30 sharing pizzas are the core menu with a Saturday brunch menu and cracking Sunday Roasts an absolute weekender’s dream.
Monthly cocktail and gin specials are the key things to look out for on the bar, amongst the local beers and ciders. Awards include Bristol Eating Better Gold 2018 & 2019, Taste of the West Gold 2019, Bristol Life Best Bar Finalist 2019, Crumbs Magazine Best Casual Diner Dining Finalist 2019.

BOCABAR FINZELS REACH
Nestled on the floating harbour in the old city, Bocabar Finzels Reach sits in one of the old Courage fermentation buildings with a large festoon lit outdoor terrace.
A wonderful work/local/social food and drink bubble for office workers, local city centre residents and visitors to Bristol, open seven days a week. Enjoy breakfasts, small and main plates for both lunch and dinner alongside the much loved Boca pizzas.
Rustic wooden high tables and stools set the scene for some luscious cocktails, local beers and ciders. Sundays welcome in the Sunday roast family vibe and afternoon chilling in the Boca-style chesterfield lounging area, followed by a walk down by the harbourside.
