Clifton College
Clifton College is a day and boarding school for pupils aged two to 18. The college offers a tailored, all-round education with diverse co-curricular activities, excellent pastoral care and first-class facilities. The college’s ethos encourages participation and engagement throughout the school from nursery upwards.
Alongside high academic standards, our pupils excel in art, music, sport and drama. Recent graduates have gone on to study music at Oxford and Cambridge, perform in Twelfth Night at the Globe Theatre, and win gold at the Olympics.

The college was founded by Bristol businessmen to serve the city, welcoming day pupils on an equal basis to boarders in the late 1800s. This connection with the city has remained an important aspect of College life ever since.
Clifton College is proud to be an active part of this thriving city and enjoy close links with a range of other Bristol businesses, such as neighbours Bristol Zoo and the city’s two universities. Clifton also has facilities, such as the 100-acre sports complex, sports centre, event space, chapel and the Redgrave Theatre, that host a range of community events as well as College activities.
Clifton College aims to connect the world of learning to the world around us and encourage our pupils to access all that the city has to offer, from performing at Bristol’s music and theatre venues to getting involved with community projects or taking part in the city’s annual events. By working with other Bristol businesses we are all stronger together.
