Founded in 1810 by Matthew Clark, as a wine and spirit broking business, six generations of the family were involved in the company up until the 1990’s. Today, Matthew Clark manages, in-house, the UK’s most extensive global supply chain for the On-Trade by some distance, managing the shipping of almost 25 million cases of product a year. This gives them the ability to make outlet deliveries, on a next day basis, from their own depot network with unrivalled quality, availability, and price.
Matthew Clark has built a limitless range. In total they list over 7000 lines, including wines from small, family-owned wineries and top consumer-requested spirit and beer brands.
What sets Matthew Clark apart is the support they make available for customers, to aid them to move more drinks across the bar. From product and staff training, designing drinks menus, to tips on how to layout a bar to maximise profits, they share their knowledge and experience with customers across the region and beyond – if they’d like it.
Based in Whitchurch, Matthew Clark understands its responsibility to the environment and the communities in which it works very seriously, having a dedicated team who are responsible for safety and their impact on the environment.
