O2 Academy Bristol
Bristol is known for its vibrant and eclectic music scene and O2 Academy Bristol has been bringing quality live shows from the new acts and classic artists to the city, as well as nights from the biggest club brands, since the venue opened in 2001.
The venue is part of the Academy Music Group (AMG) estate, which operates 19 venues nationwide, and owned by international entertainment company Live Nation.
Being one of the largest music venues in the South West, it has over 50 employees, self-employed and sub-contracted workers, from bar staff and security to technical engineers and venue management. O2 Academy can often be a great stepping-stone for those wanting to launch their career in the music industry, as well as those already well established in it.
O2 Academy aims to offer customers the best possible experience when they come to see their favourite artists perform here. Whether it’s; purchasing tickets, booking disabled access, awareness of special offers or the visual and acoustic production of the venue, the team strives to deliver to the highest possible standard it can.
Being part of Better Bristol, the O2 Academy team hopes to help and share its wealth of experience and knowledge to those seeking such advice. It can also provide relative input in discussions where certain matters of interest may arise with other licence premises, promoters and gig-goers, as well as those affairs regarding Bristol as a whole.
For those members involved with the Better Bristol campaign, O2 Academy will offer – when and where possible – tickets to some of the wide range gigs here, in return for just a £5 donation per ticket to the venue’s chosen charity, Teenage Cancer Trust.
