On-demand organic groceries for Bristol ahead of second lockdown
Ethical food shop Better Food is partnering with Good Sixty, the sustainable independent food delivery service, to make online grocery shopping easier for Bristol residents.
With branches in Bristol, Bath and Borough Market, the Good Sixty online marketplace allows customers to purchase items from independent and artisan producers and receive them via post or eco-bike.
Through the Good Sixty website, customers are able to browse Better Food’s ranges of baked goods, organic meat, dairy, vegan items and more.
As well as Better Food, other Bristol shops and producers featured on the Good Sixty website include speciality food retailer Chandos Deli, fruit and vegetable seller Reg the Veg and wholefood shop Zero Green.

“Better Food has always strived to make the very best locally produced, organic and ethical food accessible to our community. For over 25 years we have championed the incredible wealth and diversity of food from growers and producers in and around Bristol,” say Gene Joyner, Better Food managing director.
“We’re delighted to join the other brilliant independents and artisans on Good Sixty. This new partnership fits perfectly with our goal of creating a better food community for all, and we hope it will enable even more of our community to join us on this journey.”
Chris Edwards, Good Sixty founder adds: “Having grown up with Gloucester Road on my doorstep, I’ve seen the positive impact a well-supported independent high street has on the local community. So when I saw my local shops under threat from online giants, supermarket chains and national box schemes, I founded Good Sixty.
“The idea being that by bringing local independent shops and producers together as one collective force online, they could compete on equal terms with these large corporations.”

Chris adds: “And for the customers it’s great too, being able to buy from all their favourite shops in one place online, with a single checkout and in a single delivery to their door. The ability to support the local community becomes much easier this way, as our busy lives often make it difficult to shop at all of our independents in person.”
Better Food was established in 1992 and now has three independent organic food store and cafe sites across Bristol.
Good Sixty was started in 2016 with an aim to support independent high streets such as Bristol’s Gloucester Road and with zero-emission delivery services is helping the city work towards its carbon-neutral goal by 2030.
