Quartet Community Foundation

By Ben Wright  Friday Jun 7, 2019

Have you ever wondered where your charitable donations go and what difference they make?

Bristol-based Quartet Community Foundation can take you there, to the people who benefit locally from your generosity. The rewards you’ll experience will be life-enhancing.

Through their donors and the permanent funds they’ve built together since 1987, Quartet award around a thousand grants each year, supporting hundreds of thousands of people through local frontline charities and voluntary groups.

Better Business
Better Business is an initiative launched by Bristol24/7 to help businesses thrive, whilst creating a positive impact on Bristol and the people who live here.

Did you know that 90% of charitable giving in the UK goes to the 6.8% largest charities in the UK? Small charities receive the crumbs – only receive 3% of that income. Do you think it’s fair?

Quartet don’t. Together with your help, their expert team are on a mission to change these figures. Last year, this independent charity, working across Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire supported local philanthropists to give around £3.5m in grants.

If you had a thousand pounds, who would you give it to?

With growing social needs coupled with shrinking statutory funding, Quartet Community Foundation and the philanthropists they work with have adopted a key role in supporting the complex network of organisations providing services and projects for people in need.

Quartet are always personal, permanent and professional. They are here to help you realise your charitable wishes. Quartet Community Foundation is part of a much larger network of community foundations covering the United Kingdom and is accredited by UKCF (registered charity number 1080418).

Through joining Better Bristol, Quartet aim to deliver more funding into the micro and small charities and causes that do so much good in our city and to enable more people to experience the win-win reward of giving.
