Raised in Bristol CIC is a social enterprise dedicated to supporting community organisations across the city. We want local communities to become resilient and to flourish.
We’ve been thinking differently in response to the challenges facing the city and want to demonstrate that local people can take charge of the services they need to prosper.
To start with, we want to change the way business is done so that money spent locally stays local. We want to provide an alternative to ‘business as usual’ and demonstrate that enterprising approaches to community services can bring exciting results for everyone.
Experience shows us that community led nurseries can make a real impact on everyone, not just the children who attend.
Our first project is to create a network of nurseries across Bristol that brings both financial stability to community hubs and at the same time delivers an excellent and much needed service. It’s our vision that all children growing up in Bristol feel proud of their own neighborhoods and are able to access everything that the whole city offers.
