Successful night for Romney House at the Bristol Property Awards
Formerly the location of Lockleaze school, Goram Homes’ first development in Cheswick village was the winner of the ‘Deal’ category as well as the ‘Green Initiative’ category at the Bristol Property Awards.
The site was developed in partnership with regeneration specialist Vistry Partnerships, delivering 121 market sale homes and 147 affordable homes that are made up of a mix of social rent and shared ownership.
The site will have a community park, which will act as a wildlife corridor from Stoke Park through to Concorde Way. Judges at the event congratulated on Romney House’s focus on sustainability, saying “This housing initiative is delivering a sustainable future for the Lockleaze community with a smart focus on building permeability solutions. Vital work putting the environment first.”
Stephen Baker, the managing director of Goram Homes commented: “We are delighted to have won these awards for Romney House which recognise what makes Goram Homes unique – our partnership approach and our commitment to building homes that create communities, respect the environment and contribute to the local economy.”
