Whalecake Social naturally became a founding member of #BetterBristol following their #MakingBristolOriginal social impact campaign, which they recently launched in conjunction with Bristol 24/7. The campaign falls into what they call Whalecake Originals, a collection of their own works. The first series of the #MakingBristolOriginal campaign is all about giving indie brands of the food and drink scene a bigger voice, celebrating and championing those making a difference to the vibrant food and drink scene in Bristol.
Wes Hosie, the initial founder of Whalecake Social was born in Bristol and has largely lived across Somerset. After being accepted into a Bristol based start-up accelerator 18 months ago, Wes and the team are actively looking to further lay roots into the Bristol environment to bring value to those in the community. 2019 will see Whalecake Social work much closer with Bristol 24/7 on a number of exciting project which will do just this!
