Bristol tech entrepreneur to star in The Apprentice

By Ellie Pipe  Tuesday Jul 13, 2021

An entrepreneur who was the first ever winner of The Apprentice is set to return to the hit BBC series to stand in for Claude Littner.

Since seizing victory in the show in 2005, Tim Campbell MBE has gone on to co-found Iternal, a storytelling platform based near Bristol Bridge.

He says he is excited to get back in the boardroom as he fills in for Littner, who is recovering from a serious cycling accident.

Better Business is an initiative launched by Bristol24/7 to help businesses thrive, whilst creating a positive impact on Bristol and the people who live here.

Campbell will join lord Alan Sugar and baroness Karren Brady on the other side of the boardroom table when the series returns to TV early next year.

“I wish Claude every strength while he recovers from his surgery and I’m excited to get back in the boardroom and help find the next winner of The Apprentice,” says Campbell.

“It’s been 15 years since I won The Apprentice, which feels like a lifetime ago so I’ve got a lot of stories to tell.

“As excited as I am to find the next apprentice, I’m also excited for the work we’re doing with Iternal. Bristol has rapidly become an international tech hub and Iternal is right at the centre of it.”

Iternal is an online platform designed to capture and save the stories of everyone on the planet. Combining an ‘easy to use’ experience with cutting edge technology, Iternal aims to change the way people are remembered, “ensuring that in 200 years, our loved ones can look back and know exactly what made us unique”.

Paul Wiseall is the co-founder and managing director of Iternal. He added: “I couldn’t be prouder knowing that Tim will soon be advising Lord Sugar in front of millions of people every week. The Iternal team gets the privilege of his advice and leadership every week and we can’t wait for the world to be reminded of the endless energy and business smarts Tim embodies.”
