Battle of the Paddle’s winter series

By Laura Collacott  Monday Jan 11, 2016

Battle of the Paddle is returning for a third, winter series, offering a platform for Bristol businesses to connect over a friendly game of table tennis.

Entries are now open for the contest, which starts on January 27. Teams of two will be placed in one pool, with the top 16 teams proceeding to a knockout stage.

“We’re urging Bristol businesses to get their employees involved in Battle of the Paddle, not only will it give them kudos but table tennis increases concentration and alertness, stimulates brain function and develops tactical thinking,” says Dylan Pepler from Blackstar Solutions. “As the nights remain dark and the weather is gloomy we want employees to break free from their offices over these winter evenings (and lunchtimes for you keen beans) and get playing table tennis in a friendly and relaxed environment. Battle of the Paddle is open to all Bristol business professionals, of any skill level.”

Andy Beresford from Home Leisure Direct who participated in the summer series said: “Being involved with Battle of the Paddle was a lot of fun… it was great to chat to other local businesses taking part in the league” Andy Beresford from Home Leisure Direct.
