‘Breakthrough’ business summit to return to Bristol
A “must-attend summit for purpose-led business” is returning to Bristol for the third year running.
Blue Earth is for people in business inspired by the great outdoors and will take place from October 11 to 13.
The three-day event, which was attended by 5,000 people last year, will feature 160 speakers.
Guest speakers already confirmed for this year include Dragons’ Den star Deborah Meaden, Eden Project founder Sir Tim Smith and Riverford CEO Guy Singh-Watson.
Deborah Meaden, who is also a judge of the Observer Ethical Awards, a fellow of WWF and an ambassador for the Marine Conservation Society, said: “Climate change is one of the biggest opportunities of our time.
“We need purpose-led business to drive innovation, invest in long-term solutions and regenerate our natural world. But we need clarity, certainty and leadership.
“I’ll be at the Blue Earth Summit to drumbeat the need for purpose-led business and green investing for a healthy, inclusive and prosperous future.”

Pitch Tent will take place during the event again this year, where start-up and scale-up businesses will be able to pitch live to investors looking to fund sustainable enterprises.
The summit aims to raise £10m in investment for start-ups and businesses, after successfully raising £6m last year.
The key themes are adventure and the outdoors, purpose-led business, and re-imagining futures – and there will also be action-focused panels and workshops that give businesses the tools they need.
Will Hayler, co-founder of Blue Earth Summit, added: “Business as usual is no longer an option. Blue Earth is about reconnecting the core purpose of business with the needs of people and the planet.
“Business leaders that understand this, will be part of the future. Those that don’t, won’t be. It’s as simple as that.”
Blue Earth takes place at Propyard and The Wave from October 11 to 13. To find out more and book your ticket, visit www.blueearthsummit.com
