Breathing new life into the Harbour Inlet

By Martin Booth  Friday Mar 4, 2016

Brigstow Bar & Kitchen has reopened on the Harbour Inlet on the other side of the water from the ss Great Britain.

It had been closed since the end of last year after a building fault causing water to seep in through the floor meant that everything needed to be ripped out.

But every cloud has a silver lining and the forced closure and refurbishment has seen a change of look and a new head chef, Andy Clatworthy, previously at The Rummer.

Better Business
Better Business is an initiative launched by Bristol24/7 to help businesses thrive, whilst creating a positive impact on Bristol and the people who live here.

You’ve also got until the end of this month to win free beer for a year. Enter our competition here.

The original Brigstow was the first business to open in this new corner of town, swiftly followed by Spoke & Stringer, Bristol24/7’s best new bar of 2015.

Coming soon is another new bar, The Boat House, promising breakfast, brunch and English wines in the currently empty units next to Spoke & Stringer’s shop.

Over the other side of the Harbour Inlet next to Brigstow’s newly enlarged kitchen will come Kings & Queens hairdressers, leaving only the unit opposite Brigstow waiting to be filled.
