Bristol’s first Leonardo Hotel opens
Europe’s fastest growing hotel group plants its roots in Bristol with the opening of Leonardo Hotel Bristol Glassfields.
The newly opened hotel is located on Temple Way and has almost 200 bedrooms, a fully equipped gym opening in July, bar and restaurant.
Opening as the the next step of the Government’s roadmap allows travel in the UK to return, the hotel has been designed for business travellers and families alike, with executive suites, double, twin and family rooms.
The new hotel will create around 50 new jobs and Ryan Foster, general manager of Leonardo Glassfields said that the hotel booking are looking “really strong” for the summer.
20 guests stayed on the first night of the hotel opening, with Foster saying he only expects more guests to book a stay at Glassfields.
“I think people can’t wait to come back out for weekends and stuff,” he said. “Bristol is the hub of the South West and people are itching to get out and about.”
Jason Carruthers, managing director of Jurys Inn was also present for the opening of the hotel – Leonardo Hotels is a sister brand of the wider Jurys Inn family – and said: “We are delighted to be opening our first Leonardo Hotel in Bristol, our 13th in the UK.
“After expanding our offering in the capital, we are very excited to be launching in one of the UK’s most vibrant cities and in such a central and accessible location.
“Bristol is a city renowned for its arts, music and hospitality scene, as well as independent shopping to match its independent spirit. We’re looking forward to becoming part of it.”
