BT to recruit dozens of graduates and apprentices in Bristol

By Bristol24/7  Thursday Jan 27, 2022

BT will be recruiting more graduates and apprentices in Bristol this year than in almost any other part of the UK.

The company plans to recruit 89 graduates and apprentices for its September 2022 intake, who will be based at BT’s new office still under construction overlooking the Floating Harbour.

Some 2,500 BT staff will eventually be based at the 13-storey building on Cheese Lane off Temple Way.

New recruits will work across areas as diverse as engineering, customer service, applied research and cyber-security.

The graduates and apprentices will also support BT’s plans to build and extend its 5G network around the UK.

BT Group’s chief human resources officer, Debbie White, said: “BT is at the heart of the UK’s digital economy and as one of the largest employers of graduates and apprentices in the UK, we offer unparalleled development opportunities.

“Despite the uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve continued to recruit and attract brilliant people into our business.”
