Burges Salmon brings experts together for ‘Road to Net-Zero’

By Bristol24/7  Tuesday Jan 25, 2022

Independent law firm, Burges Salmon, hosted its latest virtual roundtable in its ‘Road to Net Zero’ series, bringing together sector leaders and key stakeholders to discuss sustainability.

On January 20, the group addressed the challenges and opportunities of achieving the government’s Net Zero 2050 target, with a particular focus on the energy sector.

This is Burges Salmon’s 11th roundtable, where experts came together to ask the important questions: what needs to change in the energy sector to help the UK meet its Net Zero targets? What are the biggest opportunities for delivering energy resilience?

“This roundtable is one in a series we have put in place to help our clients plan for changing regulation and policy, and to ensure that there is the necessary joined-up thinking across sectors. Thank you to all who attended and made for an interesting discussion about the shifts that will be needed in delivering energy resilience,” said Ross Fairley, the chair of Net Zero Services.

Those who attended the talks included sector leaders including Bristol City Council, Lloyds Bank and Octopus Renewables.
