Cider brand Pulpt win gold design awards for Bristol agency Workbrands
The International Cider Challenge’s design award was created to recognise the diversity and range of packaged products within this dynamic and growing part of the drinks market.
Pulpt’s brand was developed by Paintworks-based creative agency and Better Business member Workbrands, who worked with co-founders Jim and Al to realise their vision of ‘making people as passionate about cider as we are.’
Co-founders Jim and Al , who hatched their plan to escape the rat race and pursue their passion for craft cider over their lunch break, are ‘delighted with both the branding and its reception; it’s really captured the essence of Pulpt. We get consistent feedback from consumers and trade customers on how powerful, identifiable and attractive the branding is.’
Nick Farrar, Director at Workbrands said: ‘We had such a blast working with Pulpt to develop their brand, and we’re thrilled for the design to be recognised with Gold by the International Cider Challenge.’
Earlier in June Workbrands won gold in the Brand Identity category at the Muse Creative Awards for their work on Pulpt, and Pulpt’s Union variant recently won gold at the International Cider Awards.
Designer Simon Tandy added: ‘the brand set out to excite a new audience of more experimental consumers. Those who are interested in a variety of flavours, much like wine.’
‘The UK is producing some really cool-looking cider brands that are standing up well amongst the more established craft beers on the market. Expect to see a lot more cider brands vying for your attention in the not-so-distant future; it’s moved on a lot since the days of Natch!’
Free from colouring or concentrates, Pulpt cider is made using apples pulped from selected Somerset orchards. You can sample their cider at various locations around Somerset, including Bristol’s Cowshed, The Volley and The Stable. More locations here.
