Entrepreneurs Exchange back for second year

By Laura Collacott  Monday Feb 6, 2017

A nationwide programme to connect successful British business founders with the next generation of entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurs Exchange, will be back in Bristol on March 2. The M Shed will be one of ten locations across the country to host the government-backed, HSBC-sponsored support network.

Attendees will hear advice and tips from the founder of Moonpig.com, Nick Jenkins, and David Sproxton CBE, co-founder and executive chairman of Aardman Animations, to learn how the established leaders set up and grew their businesses.

“Entrepreneurs are the driving force of our economy and their ideas have spawned some of our most recognised brands that have gone on to enjoy international success,” said International Trade Minister Mark Garnier. “Initiatives like the Entrepreneurs Exchange play an important role in bringing together successful UK entrepreneurs with future business leaders to provide the advice and experience that will help them nurture their ideas and bring them to audiences far beyond the UK.”

Amanda Murphy, HSBC’s Head of Corporate Banking in the UK, added: “Following the success of last year’s events, we’re excited to support Entrepreneurs Exchange again and to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to hear from some of the UK’s most successful business founders.  We see first-hand the number of SMEs who have ambitions to develop their businesses in the UK and overseas, and we’re committed to supporting them on this journey by providing the knowledge, support and funding to grow.”
