Environmental consultancy to host webinar promoting good business ethics
A Bristol-based environmental consultancy is to host a free live webinar on how to become a B-Corp while successfully implementing a four-day working week.
Taking place on Wednesday, April 5, the live lunchtime webinar will see Tyler Grange share its key learnings and experiences from implementing the two major changes in the last year.
It hopes to encourage and support companies to have a more positive impact on people and the planet, and become part of a community that believes business should be a force for good.
Managing director Simon Ursell said: “We founded Tyler Grange in 2010 as a purpose-driven business operating with clear values and, 12 years on, we decided to transform the way we operate, day-to-day, at both an employee and operational level.
“We know more than ever that purpose very much drives business success with clients, employees and investors. So, over the course of last year, we became B-Corp certified and adopted a permanent four-day working week after experiencing such pilot success.
“And we’re delighted to report that we’ve since seen an increase in efficiency, employee happiness and talent attraction, as well as a reduction in sickness absence – all with no impact on our bottom line.”
Tyler Grange is one of only a handful of businesses to be both B-Corp certified and an early adopter of reduced work hours.
It reported that its workplace was 14 per cent happier, 28 per cent less tired and 22 per cent more productive working one day less. It said sickness has reduced by 66 per cent and that it is receiving 88 per cent more CVs.
Simon added: “During our webinar, we’re ready to candidly share what worked for us and what we wish we’d known when we set out on our four-day week and B-Corp journey.
“Delegates will also have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and chat openly about similar transformations they may be considering for their businesses.”
