Free app tells you how much you could save
A new app from Bristol BlueGreen is currently available for free trial, allowing customers to live monitor electricity use in homes fitted with their BlueGreen Power Saver.
The device uses patented technology to ensures household appliances and lighting work efficiently, use less electricity and cost less to run. Real time reporting provides up-to-the-minute data on how the property is using electricity, even if it is unoccupied, showing where savings can be made.
The eco company, based in Bristol and Bath Science Park, produces voltage management products designed to help reduce electricity consumption and promises to change the way homes and businesses use energy. It hopes the free app trial will let potential customers see first-hand the benefits of a BlueGreen device before purchasing.
Chief executive Rick Smith commented: “Bristol is a hub of innovation and exciting activity at the moment, so what better time to launch our app? BlueGreen champions cutting edge technology and intelligent solutions to problems, so it seemed fitting to have an app which can provide useful, interesting data to everyone with a BlueGreen device.”
“The device is so easy to use and I love having the app on my tablet so I can see what value I am getting each day,” said customer Kelly Challis, from Pill. “The survey was helpful on two levels: firstly, it helped to see that the Power Saver would work and secondly, it confirmed that my house electrics aren’t as ancient as I thought they would be! I’m delighted to be able to do something to help the environment and save money at the same time.”
