Free office space for tech start-ups

By Laura Collacott  Monday Nov 14, 2016

Recruitment agency Rethink Group has launched a new initiative to offer three-month’s desk space and business mentoring to tech start-ups following new research from Lloyds Bank that found start up costs had reached £12,000 per annum

The Start-Up Zone will give digital entrepreneurs support as they establish their businesses.

Rethink’s Bristol director Christine Christodoulou explained: “We are passionate about business start-ups and giving people the chance to flourish in their endeavours. Our leadership team has been working hard to establish something that helps out small businesses, led by passionate, likeminded people. The result is our no-strings attached offering; it will give entrepreneurs an inspiring space in which they can develop their ideas.

“The Lloyds research substantiates our plans; it found that property is the largest outgoing of non-home based start-up businesses and founders don’t appear to budget for the £3,000 they’ll spend on their premises, rates and utilities in their first year. We also hope that by offering mentoring we can mitigate their overall risks and costs with some good advice.”
