Bristol’s Icon films in UK’s top 20 TV employers
Bristol-based Icon Films has been ranked as one of the best companies in TV to work for in the UK.
For the second year running, the business that was started in 1990 by husband and wife team Harry and Laura Marshall has made been recognised by Broadcast magazine in its annual Best Places to Work in TV contest.

Based just off College Green, Icon Films were the only Bristol-based company to be listed in the top 20, praised for their outstanding diversity, well being and overall job satisfaction.
Responsible for shows such as Savage Kingdom, Andrew Marr: My Brain and Me, River Monsters and Primal Survivor, the company has been making films for over 20 years and are widely acknowledged as experts in a diverse range of fields.

Creative director Harry Marshall said: “We are all very proud to be nominated for a third year in the Best Places to Work in TV.
“Our commitment is to making Icon Films an exceptional place for people to do their best work. Achieving and maintaining that ideal is a massive team effort from the runners up to the managers.”

Their achievement comes hot on the heels of Bristol gaining UNESCO Creative City of Film status, joining only 13 other cities around the world to secure the title.
