Inaugural Bristol Property Inclusion Charter launched
Karl Brown wants to ensure people from all backgrounds in Bristol can access opportunities available in the property sector with the launch of a new charter.
The Bristol Property Inclusion Charter is the first of its kind in the UK and will see a collective of companies sign up to pledges with the aim of making the sector more diverse and inclusive.

Karl, a senior associate in the commercial property team at Clarke Willmott and former president of the Bristol Junior Chamber, said: “As someone who is Bristol born and bred, who works with the property industry and whose dad worked as a plasterer in the Bristol property industry, I want young people from all backgrounds in Bristol to see the great opportunities in the industry.
“I believe that creating more diversity and inclusion in Bristol property will make our sector even stronger. I want to thank all the founder signatories and especially Jamie Siggers, chair of the Forum for the Built Environment Great Western branch for supporting the charter.”

The founder signatories to the charter include; UWE, Bristol, Bristol and Bath Regional Capital CIC, Nash Partnership, United Communities, Autograph Homes, Savills – Bristol office, YTL Land Property UK – Bristol office, Turner and Townsend – Bristol office, Sanderson Weatherall – Bristol office, First Base, WSP, Campbell Reith – Bristol office, FBE, Constructing Excellence Bristol Club, The Architecture Centre and LiveWest.
A new body, the Bristol Property Inclusion Commission, chaired by Karl, will support the charter’s objectives.
