Industrial developer sets sights on expansion in South West
Industrial property developer Chancerygate is set to open a new office in Bristol as part of plans to grow activity across the region.
The firm behind Vertex Park in Emersons Green and Warmley Business Park, among others, has delivered industrial space worth a combined £76m across its five South West developments and now has its sights set on further expansion.
The new Bristol office will be led by Rupert Joseland, a former managing director at St Modwen Industrial & Logistics, who will join Chancerygate in September as development director.
Bosses of the industrial development and asset management company say the move will allow the company to expand further into the South West region and also into South Wales.
Commenting on the development, Rupert says: “Chancerygate is a progressive company with a clear strategic growth plan for the South West and South Wales.
“Chancerygate has a deserved great reputation for successful speculative development, an excellent product and acting quickly and decisively to get things done.
“I am looking forward to taking that refreshing approach to industrial development to an even wider audience in the South West and into South Wales.”
Chancerygate currently has more than three million sq ft of industrial space under construction or ready for development across 23 sites in the UK.
Chancerygate managing director Richard Bain welcomed Rupert to the team, saying: “Under his leadership, we fully expect to be growing our development and project management teams in the Bristol office in due course.”
