International Women’s Day event to celebrate Bristol’s female entrepreneurs
To mark International Women’s Day on March 8, a business incubator is celebrating Bristol’s female entrepreneurs.
YTKO’s event at Runway East is an opportunity for bussinesswomen to speak and learn from each other as well as build their networks.
The session will also feature an awards ceremony, putting a spotlight on inspirational and successful female entrepreneurs in the city.
Five Bristol-based women will be taking part in a panel discussion and Q&A as well, discussing the benefits and challenges of starting and running a business.
The participants are:
- Meera Pandya, founder of Mojakid, a children’s sustainable clothing business
- Rebecca Prior, founder of Prior Shop, a retail and work space
- Nikki Watten, co-founder Nom Wholefoods, a single-use, plastic-free shop
- Jay Jethwa, founder of Tiffins, a family-run Indian takeaway selling frozen food
- Ngaio Aniya, founder of Ngaio Music, a performer, spoken word artist and DJ
