Is it time to put your mental health first?
Mental health problems occur for a variety of reasons.
We may inherit a predisposition, have experienced trauma, be subject to difficult life circumstances, or often, some combination of all of these.
Whatever the root cause, there is rarely a magic cure. However, what we know for sure is that taking control of our mental wellbeing can be transformative.
Bristol Wellbeing College provides solution-focused, psycho-educational workshops and courses, for adults struggling with their mental health.
The college aims to empower people to take control of their mental wellbeing by using tools, skills and strategies to help change behaviour.
The colour-coded system helps you to choose workshops and courses that are right for you.
Whether you have been struggling for a long time or have been finding things difficult during the last months of the pandemic, the college can help you manage your mental wellbeing and find ways towards a happier, more productive and fulfilling life.
Feedback from some of our learners:
“I wasn’t sure at first about signing up to a six-week course, worried that I wouldn’t be able to make all of the sessions, but I found it really valuable to connect with other people on the course and could identify with some of the thoughts and feelings they shared. It is a comfort to know that I am not alone with some of the struggles.”
“Being able to go online to the wellbeing sessions was a lifesaver. I wasn’t well enough to join a group in person before, but now I could. The mental health wellbeing courses and workshops gave me the tools and techniques to change my life.”
“It helped when the tutor shared her experience – made it feel more whole – not so ‘us and them’, that we are all human and that that we start off as inadequate or lacking as pupils.”
Bristol Wellbeing College is open to anyone in Bristol aged 18+ who wants to improve their mental health. Their FREE wellbeing workshops take place in person and online.
