Multi-billion engineering business opens new office in Bristol
A multi-billion engineering firm has opened a new office in Bristol which is home to more than 750 staff.
Jacobs says its new base, at One Glass Wharf, has been “reimagined for the future of hybrid working”.
It has been designed with flexible working in mind and boasts “state-of-the-art” technology.
It has also been decorated with over 350 old carpet tiles which have been donated, promoting sustainability.

“It’s fantastic to be opening the doors to our phenomenal new office in Bristol, demonstrating our commitment to the region,” said Donald Morrison, Jacobs’ people and places solutions senior vice president for Europe and digital strategies.
“Over the past year we’ve all been challenged on the ways that we work, and now more than ever at Jacobs we’re rethinking, reorganising and redefining where and how we work.”
The new flagship hub will bring together Jacobs employees, graduates and apprentices from Swindon and two other offices in Bristol.
Justin Goldberg, Jacobs’ vice president of defence and security, added: “Having gone through the challenge of COVID-19, our new office gives Jacobs a location that our people who live and work in Bristol – including me – can identify as their ‘home office’.”
Jacobs has had a presence in the city for decades, serving major energy, defence, local authority, transport and other clients.
