By Laura Collacott  Friday Apr 29, 2016

The West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has appointed local businessman Stephen Robertson as its new chair, subject to ratification at the next LEP Board meeting in June. He replaces Colin Skellett who chaired the LEP from its formation in 2011 until he stepped down in January 2016.

Stephen joins following his roles as Chair of Business West and a non-executive director on the boards of Hargreaves Lansdown plc, Clipper Logistics plc and the Timpson Group.

Commenting on his appointment, Stephen said: “I am delighted to have been selected as Chair Elect of the West of England LEP and look forward to working alongside the four authorities, universities and local business to ensure we continue to deliver economic growth and jobs for the region.”
