New co-working space set to open
A provider of co-working space in the region is close to the completion of phase one of a new site in Bristol city centre.
Set across three floors of Beacon Tower, the co-working hub by DeskLodge will include themed areas such as Egyptian Gods, Merlin’s Cave, a Tardis and Banquet Hall.
It will be made up of a blend of 26 private offices, 289 dedicated desks, 60 hot desks, six meeting rooms, as well as nine team booths and eight phone booths.
The launch of phase one sees tenants moving into private offices before the rest of the development opens its doors in September.
DeskLodge founder Tom Ball said they “can’t wait to open in the iconic Beacon Tower in the beating heart of the city”.
“We are famous for offering unique and fully bespoke workspaces and this will be our finest yet,” he said.
““Bristol is renowned for being one of Europe’s creative hubs, and we think that Desklodge in Beacon Tower will offer some of the region’s most exciting start-ups and entrepreneurs an environment that they can grow and thrive in.”
The new flexible-working space will be suitable for anyone from single-person start-ups, to established organisations of up to 30 people.
DeskLodge, which was recently named in The Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Work’ 2023, have been operating in the city since 2012, with their other site in Redcliffe.
It has another site in Reading and has its sights set on 20 locations by 2030.
Tom added: “At DeskLodge we pride ourselves on creating spaces where people want to be.

“It will be a world-class ‘destination’ workspace that will continue to push Bristol forward as a city in which anything is possible.”
The opening of the new DeskLodge site comes as analysis by The Social Hub found Bristol is the fourth top city in Europe – and the top in the UK – for co-working.
