New series to help those breaking into the creative sector

By Qezz Gill  Monday Feb 8, 2021

As the creative sector keeps growing, organisations and influential hubs are looking for creatives to develop their professional career within their growing company and employ a diverse workforce to fulfil their potential.

Creative Workforce For The Future (CWFTF) is a programme making the creative industries more representative through nurturing under represented creatives seeking sustainable employment.

Meshworks is a product of CWFTF and co-designed by a collective of creatives from all kinds of marginalised backgrounds breaking barriers and taking up space to develop their creative careers.

Better Business
Better Business is an initiative launched by Bristol24/7 to help businesses thrive, whilst creating a positive impact on Bristol and the people who live here.

Meshworks’ new Power Lunch series will be broadcast over a four-week period and will be a series of conversations, ranging from TV and film production to marketing, branding and social media.

Expect rapid-fire panels with creative small and medium sized companies in the region in conversation with creatives from the Meshworks community. The series will shed light on what the creative organisations are looking for, and how to get there.

Hosted by one of the young creatives from the Meshwork community, the sessions will see organisations discussing their recruitment process and goals.

Join the first session on Rife Magazine YouTube channel on Thursday, February 11 at 1pm.

  • Thursday February, 11: Writing/Journalism, chaired by Keziah Wenham-Kenyon with Crack Magazine and Bristol24/7.
  • Thursday, February 18:  TV/Film production chaired by Scarlett Smyth with Icon Films and A Productions
