New work hub, curiosities shop and cafe
The team behind The Old Bookshop on North Street have opened an eclectic new office space, cafe and curiosities shop on Hanover Place just behind Spike Island.
Dockyard is kitted out with super fast wifi, bike racks and free parking spaces, with the cafe/meeting space serving up lunch shipped over from The Old Bookshop, with pork pies and scotch eggs by The Feastie Boys, and Hobbs Bakery bread.
Alongside the curiosities shop there is also a showcase of local artwork.

Located on a mezzanine floor above the downstairs cafe, the office space is split into six pods.
Dockyard and The Old Bookshop owner Ben Gatt said: “There’s opportunity for a small businesses community to thrive, collaborate and support each other here in the kind of environment that Bristol does brilliantly.
“In converting this old dockside building, we wanted to create a space for small businesses of any type to thrive, make of it what they will, and enjoy being right by the river in a secure building that is their own corner of Bristol.”
The pods cost £300 per month for one to two people, and £350 per month for three to four people with a one-month minimum term, and one-month returnable deposit. There is currently a 10 per discount for anyone who signs up for six months.
