Online Influence Conference comes to Bristol
Social media giants will meet senior business, marketing and tech leads in Bristol to explore the future of digital engagement.
The Online Influence Conference (OiConf) taking place at the Engine and Passenger Sheds on Wednesday, March 29 is being hailed as an exciting opportunity for the city to further establish itself as a hotbed of new technologies and innovative thinking.
It is based on the premise that the rapidly accelerating rate of digital disruption across consumer markets is forcing brands and businesses to change the way they engage with audiences – and at an unprecedented rate never before experienced.
“Digital actually means customer first without compromise,” says Ashley Wheeler, managing director of OiConf.
“Technology continues to make our lives easier and, even more, technology itself has become very intuitive and easy to use.
“With that, we’re experiencing a shift in customer expectations, traditional brand loyalty and propensity to purchase are being constantly challenged – if the rot isn’t stopped, businesses risk the ‘Blockbuster’ effect, and quicker than ever before.”
The event marks the first time that senior figures from Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat have spoken in Bristol and they will be joined by around 2,000 leading figures from the likes of Google, Deloitte, Aardman, the BBC and more.
OiConf centres on the future of engagement and how new strategies and technologies, including virtual assistants, AR and wearables, can better support and improve vital marketing brand outputs across social, digital and mobile channels.
Delegates will attend keynotes, masterclasses, seminars and an exhibition zone.
