Online used car dealership launches
Online used car dealership, Carspring, has launched in Bristol, enabling customers to buy used cars online and get them delivered to their home.
The company, which was founded in February 2015 and already has bases in London and Berlin, claims to offer an easy and hassle-free method of buying a used car online, with flexible finance, 14-day money-back guarantee and free delivery. It claims that car buyers can save an average of £1,000 versus buying their car at traditional dealerships.
Co-founder Maximilian Vollenbroich sees the launch in tech-savvy Bristol launch as an integral part of the company’s drive to bridge an e-commerce gap: “Right across the board, every sector is going online. Old conversion barriers relating to issues around trust are being broken down, as e-commerce proves its salt as a convenient and trustworthy alternative.
“If I want a book delivered, I go on Amazon. If I want to get my groceries delivered, I go to Ocado. And now, with our official Bristol launch, we’re opening up a genuine, online alternative for the people of South West England to buy their next car online.
“With the launch of our dedicated Bristol site, we’re showing the South West of England that we’re here and it’s time for the old used car dealerships to up their game or get out of the fast lane.”
Since launch, 450 Bristol customers have applied for car finance. Carspring is currently projecting annual sales of 3,000 cars.
