Search is on to find Bristol’s happiest workplaces 2018

By Ellie Pipe  Thursday Jul 5, 2018

Smiles at the ready – Bristol’s Happiest Workplace competition is open and inviting entries.

Now in its fourth year, the contest aims to reward companies that go out of their way to create positive, supportive environments that put people and productivity ahead of ‘presenteeism’.

Mental health and well-being is at the heart of the 2018 competition, which is supported by mental health charity Mind, so judges will be paying particular attention to businesses that put these issues at the forefront of what they do.

Better Business
Better Business is an initiative launched by Bristol24/7 to help businesses thrive, whilst creating a positive impact on Bristol and the people who live here.

“Every year we’re astounded at the creative and unusual workspaces the south west has to offer,” said Maxine Bennett, director of workplace and interior design consultancy Wylde IA, which founded the awards.

“This year we’ll be paying particular attention to those who support and encourage healthy mental health so it’ll be interesting to see the initiatives businesses have adopted to encourage this.”

Previous winners include Triodos Bank, bespoke software developers Ghyston, skateboard distributors Shiner and HR consultants PES.

Mind’s Tom Hore said: “We’re delighted to be supporting this year’s Wylde IA Happiest Workplace competition.

“Strong and successful organisations make good mental health and well-being of their staff one of their key priorities. In fact, of all the improvements that can be made within organisations, improving staff mental health and well-being is probably the most cost effective.”

Entries for the Happiest Workplace 2018 competition are now open. For more information, visit: www.wyldeia.co.uk.
