Shaping the future of tech
Bristol’s tech entrepreneurs continue to reach new heights on the international stage, securing the city’s reputation as the home of innovation.
Silas Adekunle, co-founder and CEO of Stoke Gifford-based Reach Robotics, has been named in the prestigious 2019 Maserati 100, published in partnership with The Sunday Times, which recognises the business people having a positive impact on the economy and society.
This follows his inclusion in Forbes’ 30 under 30 list for European tech in 2018 after the company secured an exclusive deal with Apple in 2017 and is further evidence of a startup that continues to break the mould, change the future of gaming and take the global market by storm.

Founded by Silas and two friends while he was still studying at UWE Bristol, Reach Robotics created the world’s first gaming robot and has developed an augmented reality platform to inspire and educate the next generation of talent.
The startup was one of the original Future Space businesses, launched as part of the Bristol Robotics Laboratory Hardware Incubator programme.
Current resident Open Bionics is also making waves on the global stage and has recently been hailed among the world’s most innovative companies in 2019 by American business magazine Fast Company.
The startup that designs and engineers the next generation of accessible bionic limbs has been honoured among others having significant impact on industry and culture.
