Slide to double fleet
Shared commuting service, Slide, is doubling its vehicle fleet in 2017 as part of its third phase of growth.
The company, which debuted in August last year, will now be operating 16 mini vans to transport commuters between Filton, Bradley Stoke, Gloucester Road, Clifton, Westbury-on-Trym and the city centre.
Coralie Triadou, business development director for RATP Dev UK which operates the service, said: “We are really pleased with the welcome that Slide has received in Bristol and of the fantastic passenger reviews, it means we are now able to add more Slide vehicles to better serve Bristolians.”
40 per cent of Bristol’s commuters travel by car, according to the company’s 2016 survey which highlighted the need for creative alternatives, with a further 24 per cent walking and only 3.5 per cent taking the train.
Slide operates Monday to Friday from 6.30am until 10am and 4pm until 7.30pm.
