Two new shops open in The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

By Charlie Watts  Tuesday Oct 5, 2021

Not one but two new shops have opened in The Mall at Cribbs Causeway.

Kitchenware brand ProCook and bicycle retailer Ribble Cycles have both opened stores in the shopping centre just north of Bristol.

They are the seventh and eighth businesses this year to move into The Mall, which is said to have had strong sales and footfall in the aftermath of lockdown.

Scott Linard, portfolio director at M&G Real Estate, says The Mall “remains the home of shopping in the South West.”

He said: “Shoppers have been back to The Mall in their millions since reopening as the joy of seeing and feeling garments off screen and the pleasure of a day out with friends and loved ones rekindles the nation’s hunger for real life retail.”

David Stacey, commercial director of Ribble Cycles, commented: “Opening our showroom doors in Bristol’s ever-popular The Mall at Cribbs Causeway is such an exciting statement for the brand and testament to the success of our retail strategy and portfolio roll-out plan.”

While Andy Kerr, retail director at ProCook, added: “We strongly believe in the continued benefit of in-store physical retail as part of our multi-channel offer and Cribbs Causeway is the perfect proposition as we continue our expansion into destination shopping centres this year.”

In total, The Mall is home to 153 shops and restaurants, employing over 6,000 people.
