Virtual reality world congress in Bristol
The VR World Congress will return to Bristol on April 12 to showcase the latest virtual reality developments, following a sell-out conference in 2015. Hosted by local firm, Opposable VR, the event will gather 600 guests at the Marriott Hotel, including virtual reality’s leading experts and aficionados from across the globe, to explore the future of the industry.
Digital industry experts have been eyeing virtual reality as the next-big-thing in the way people will interact with computers, anticipating an imminent shift to mainstream. Apple’s newly-formed virtual reality R&D team and Sony, Samsung, HTC and Facebook’s investment in the segment hint at the anticipated potential.
A dedicated expo hall will demonstrate VR experiences and emerging technologies. Enterprise Europe Network South West (EENSW) will be hosting a free brokerage event where delegates will be able to pre-register for 1-2-1 meetings with exhibitors, buyers, sellers and professionals in and around the VR industry.
Commenting on VR World Congress, organiser Ben Trewhella of Opposable VR, said: “VR World Congress couldn’t come at a better time. With the Samsung Gear VR on the market and Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR and HTC Vive all expected to be released in the first half of 2016; virtual reality is one of the hottest trends to follow.”
