Weebly to host business roadshow in Bristol
Website-building platform Weebly is bringing its first ‘Grow Your Own’ business roadshow to Bristol and other major UK cities this month to unlock and celebrate entrepreneurial potential.
Each city stop has been selected on the basis of entrepreneurial capacity and potential, drawing on findings from a recent state-of-the-nation survey conducted by Weebly, which identified London, Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham as the fastest growing UK’s entrepreneurial hotbeds.
Weebly’s ‘Grow Your Own’ business roadshow will kick off in London on May 10th before arriving in Bristol on May 12th. Hosted by Hotel du Vin from 6pm, the roadshow will feature experts from local business accelerators, panel discussions and introductory masterclasses by Weebly specialists on how to build high-quality websites that work across different devices. Attendees will also be able to meet local ‘Weebly Web Wonders’ who have achieved real success in turning their passion into business through Weebly’s intuitive drag-and-drop technology.
Dion McKenzie, Weebly’s UK country manager, said: “With unprecedented appetite for entrepreneurialism sweeping the country, Weebly’s ‘Grow-Your-Own’ business roadshow wants to be an inspirational and useful experience for anyone thinking of starting their own business or those who have already embarked on their own business venture but need advice on scaling it. With our easy-to-use technology we’re empowering a new breed of entrepreneurs across the UK who are making a huge contribution to the nation’s economy and by telling these successful stories and creating synergies with local business experts we hope to unlock further entrepreneurial potential.”
Weebly’s research has also found that most of the businesses in Birmingham operate in the apparel & fashion industry, meanwhile in Bristol health-focused enterprises are by far the most popular ones. London distinguishes itself for the strong presence of entertainment-centric start-ups, meanwhile Manchester has developed a strong business community around the education sector.
With more than 2 million users in the UK, and almost £20 million transacted on Weebly e-commerce sites since its launch less than 12 months ago, the website building platform will be touring the country to inspire and give useful advice to local entrepreneurs and SME owners on how to build successful businesses in the digital economy.
