Young entrepreneur debuts cosmetics company

By Laura Collacott  Monday Dec 5, 2016

St Paul’s entrepreneur Charmaine Lawrence is hoping to make her mark on the beauty world with the release of her new, all-natural cosmetics line.

N9NE Cosmetics offers chemical-free body butters, lip balms and lotion bars in fragrances including ylang, lavender, grapefruit and lemonade, all handmade in central Bristol.

“Our brand was created to inspire people to love their skin naturally and we are dedicated to making people feel good about their appearance,” says Charmaine.

Better Business
Better Business is an initiative launched by Bristol24/7 to help businesses thrive, whilst creating a positive impact on Bristol and the people who live here.

“A few years ago after making changes to my lifestyle and diet I started to investigate natural products. I worked on N9NE Cosmetics for around a year and a half behind the scenes [before launching].

“We want to positively impact the world by offering a high quality natural cosmetic line produced ethically and locally.”

Currently aimed at women, she plans to introduce a men’s range in 2017.

It’s not the first business venture for Charmaine: she moonlights as rapper Skrilla UGQ and set up Mogul Minded, a networking and business advice service, to assist her peers in their own business ventures after discovering a gap in support available.

Products are available to purchase online at www.n9necosmetics.com.
