YTKO to provide free skills bootcamps across the West of England
This summer, YTKO is thrilled to announce the delivery of Skills Bootcamps across the West of England. Funded by the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, these free and flexible courses of up to eight weeks will enable participants to acquire industry-specific skills and secure an express route to employer interviews.
Skills Bootcamps are innovative learning platforms, providing both online and in-person training. These are complemented by relevant site visits and recorded sessions, ensuring access for those unable to attend live sessions. The initiative aims to equip people with practical skills to boost business activity, enhance performance in current roles, or gain the expertise necessary to secure new positions.
Five core topics have been outlined for the bootcamps:
- Organisational Sustainability: Highlighting the importance of zero-waste practices, low carbon behaviours, and fostering a culture of change in business operations.
- Future of Construction: Focused on sustainable construction methods, digital design, retrofitting, offsite construction, and pre-manufactured value.
- Leadership and Management: Examining change and risk management, productivity, profitability, sustainability, and small team culture creation.
- Digital Marketing: A deep-dive into building brand values, mastering e-commerce platforms, strategising marketing campaigns, optimising social media, advertising, and website operations.
- Digital Workplace Skills: Concentrated on enhancing efficiency through software solutions, digital transformation, e-commerce, GDPR, and data handling
Skills Bootcamps are a remarkable opportunity for learners, offering an effective pathway to career advancement. The bootcamps are designed to align with the Lifetime Skills Guarantee, a government initiative that aims to equip everyone with skills for life.
