Fiasco Design wins prestigious design award

By Laura Collacott  Tuesday May 26, 2015

A Bristol-based creative design agency, Fiasco Design, have won a digital design award for their work with Pelican Books, winning D&AD’s digital design: UX, UI & Navigation for websites prize. The nationwide D&AD Awards recognise the best creative work in the design and advertising industry and are highly regarded in the creative industry globally.

Fiasco Design have worked with the Penguin Books site since January 2014 to design and build a clutter-free site engineered to get people reading in as few steps as possible. Focusing on typography and functionality, the site is optimised for use on different devices.

Creative Director Ben Steers said of the award, “It’s a huge honour to be nominated, let alone win a D&AD award. As a designer, those iconic pencils are what you dream of. To be recognised by D&AD for a project such as this – it really is a dream come true.”
