Construction begins on new business park
Construction has started on Bristol’s new business park at the former Rolls Royce East Works site in Filton.
Ground works have started at a new one million sq ft mixed use development which will be the first phase of the 65 acre £120m business park at Horizon 38.
The first phase of development will be ready and available for occupation by July next year and will be part of a mixed use development offering opportunities for industrial, warehousing, trade, office, hotel and car showroom development.
Gareth Williams, from developers St Francis Group, said: “With the entire site now cleared and levelled you can clearly see the scale of development proposed at Horizon 38. It is the first major employment scheme to come out of the ground in north Bristol for 20 years.
In addition to the industrial and distribution development, a 25-acre commercial park is being constructed fronting onto the A38.
