By Bristol24/7  Wednesday Aug 26, 2015

Dub pioneer Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry has been added to the bill for autumn music festival Simple Things.

He is among the latest batch of artists to be announced, including grime collective Ruff Sqwad & J-Cush, and techno producers Hodge and Tessela.

One of Bristol’s most popular city music festivals, Simple Things returns this autumn with a mix of established and up-and-coming indie, grime and electronica acts.

The festival takes place at Colston Hall and a handful of other venues on Saturday, October 24, with a pre party on Friday October 23.

Acts already confirmed for the event, run in association with Crack Magazine, include Skepta – alongside partner in grime and brother JME; London’s furious post-punk revivalists Savages; electro-punk/psychedelia outfit The Soft Moon; HEALTH and Bristol’s own Vessel and Oliver Wilde as well as previously announced Factory Floor, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Battles, Chastity Belt and Dean Blunt.

Further DJs were added to the line-up earlier this month, include Hemlock Recordings boss Untold, Brooklyn’s Galcher Lustwerk with his subtly lysergic house sound, a fundamental part of London’s current music scene Moxie is also added, along with Futureboogie, Pardon My French and Gramrcy.
