Winner of B24/7 festival guide cover revealed

By Bristol24/7  Thursday Mar 26, 2015

Bristol illustrator Suzie Booton is the winner of the Bristol24/7 2015 festival guide cover competition.

Suzie’s brilliant festival-inspired design sealed the deal with 865 votes and she will now see her design on the cover of the A4 festival guide which comes out in April. She also wins a pair of VIP tickets to Grillstock and to see Kaiser Chiefs at the Bristol Summer Series later this year.

We received over 30 entries for the guide and the top 3 were selected to go to the public vote. Voting then took place on Facebook and Twitter and the votes were totted up to reveal the overall winner. Well done Suzie! (You can ‘like’ Suzie Booton on Facebook here).

Coming in a close second with 831 votes was Chris Cooper (aka Shot Away), with his photograph of a colourful festival scene. We were so impressed with his design, that we’re including the photo in the guide as well – just not taking the prime spot on the front! He also wins a pair of tickets to Bristol Ska & Mod festival at Motion in April.

Congratulations to Luz Gallardo for coming in third with her illustration of a Bristol-inspired festival scene. She wins a pair of tickets to Purbeck Valley Folk festival in August in Dorset.

The free 48-page festival guide will hit the streets at the beginning of April with the April edition of Bristol24/7 magazine. It lists up to 300 festivals across the region and beyond and has features, vox pops and more competitions.
