Farmfest announces Bristol debut

By Adam Burrows  Wednesday Jan 18, 2017

One of our favourite small festivals is to make its Bristol debut with a one-off event on March 17.

Farmfest Presents will be headlined by electronica / downtempo pioneer Nightmares on Wax and feature the Bristol live debut of Ninja Tune artist Romare.  The main room lineup also features Rhythm Section label boss and Boiler Room host Bradley Zero. It’s a launch event for the main festival, which takes place each July near Bruton in Somerset.

The event will also make use of the “super secret” space above Marble Factory, with a loft party featuring a number of Bristol club scene staples, including perennial Farmfest co-conspirators Shapes.

“We have hand picked three of our favourite acts from the last three years of the Farmfest,” says Bristol-based promoter Simon Arnoldi, “as we take the festival inside with an epic evening of danceable live music and leftfield electronics.” Romare’s set will be a three-piece live show featuring keys, congas, bass and saxophone.

The full lineup is as follows:

Marble Factory (Downstairs): Nightmares on Wax, Romare (full live band), Bradley Zero, Farmfest DJs.

Loft (Upstairs): Shapes, Late Night Tales, Dropout Disco, Bodywork.

Farmfest presents is on March 17 at The Marble Factory. Tickets are on sale now.
